Do you know what kind this is? It's peculiar in appearance because the petals always curve inward and have very light white lines on them, like a pink paeony flower, and the innermost petals are whorled, just like a paeony's. It also smells exactly like a paeony! I'd really like to know the variety so I can look for more of them.
If you don't know, what's the best way to find out? Does anyone know any good websites for identifying domestic plants based solely on appearance? Or even a book? Thank you for any information, and feel free to ask for more details as I will be checking back often. = )

Like the band incubus house on cribs, they had a place that just had candles and stuff and had a really chill atmosphere. I would like to achieve that in my dorm: walls are Lt blue...just need a tranquil room for chilling to calm the mind.

My new desk is too short - I need to prop it up - the legs are two parallel metal bars that sit on the floor from front to back on both sides...not the typical 4 distinct legs...so the plastic riser things from Ikea wouldn't work. Also have the desk on carpeting rather than hardwood floor so makes it trickier to raise up something stably. Would love a hint on products or cheap-o DIY solutions

Okay, this is what happened. I saw a horrible large spider and screamed for my husband to kill it. He went after it with a large wad of paper towels, then flushed it. Then the toilet was unable to be flushed after that, so I tried to plunge it. Next thing I knew, the toilet overflowed! I turned off the water, but every time I start to turn it back on it tries to overflow again. Does anyone know what could be the problem? Please, only serious answers. I'm so aggravated, and I KNOW I shouldn't have allowed the paper towels into the toilet. :-(

We moved from Italy in january an live in my aunts apartment , on 3th floor. We have had mice problems for 5 months and we had the exterminator come already 4 times. All they do is just put stick traps and some kind of poison, but the more traas we put the more we see them rrunning in the house. We only caught 1 small mouse in 6 months and tonight i saw a big one. I am feeling discouraged and depressed. I can't sleep and I can't eat. I use to live on a mountain in Italy but they don t have mice in the house there.... I am very disgusted and stressed out from this situation. I also suffer from anxiety and have many anxiety attacks so this disgusting situation is really bothering me a lot....
I can't live like that anymore and we can't afford to move!. We have traps everyhere like glue boards, but mice avoid them!!!!

I bought 4 Azaleas recently at a store that was closing (they were really on the cheap and I couldn't help myself). I know that they require acidic soil and prefer a pH of around 5.5, but can they survive in soil that has a pH of 6.0/6.5/7.0?

I mulched in a bunch of humus last year while preparing the garden bed that I am planting these in, and I've heard that this can help acidify the clay-heavy soil. It is currently around pH 6.5 or so. However, I'm not sure if the Azaleas can tolerate soil that is only slightly acidic.

I'd like to plant the Azaleas soon since it is fall. Will they be able to survive in the soil? Also, is there an effective way to lower acidity quickly? I know you can add Elemental Sulfur to the soil, but I don't know where to buy it or if it is worth applying.

Is there a heating coil or element that's easily replaced. I'd like to try if it's not too hard. I have a Whirpool low-end model, about 6 years old.

Thanks for your answers!
