Self immolation isn't strictly unique; though I've never understood it. I am curious about the point of this however. Is this a halloween experiment? Is your object "to die"? Is it a Science project gauging the temps of various forms of fire?

Certainly one of; if not THE most painful ways to end ones life. BUT.... THE GOOD NEWS IS... should you want to die; it could take a very long time; given that someone might try to "P" you out. Sadly the bad news is you probably have access; as a minor; or someone "thought impaired"; to gasoline and Bic lighters.

Obviously; Knowledge is something we often acquire AFTER we NEED it. I suggest a test. You might even start small. Start a fire. Stick your dominant hand into it; until it's cooked; seek medical aid; then psyhciatric aid; and learn to use your other hand to continue testing the theory.

Eventually with enough third degree burns covering your body, your epidermis (skin) would fail. Your body would go into shock from lack of temperature regulation (first too hot, then too cold) and excessive water loss/dehydration. Many people live through a bad burn experience, but it is a painful, painful, painful, painful, painful, painful, painful way to go. With enough burn damage, your chances of continuing to live would be very low compared to your chances of dying.
