Hi it turns out i have scabies and my doctor told me to wash all my linen in hot water/hot dryer.. i put all my sheets and pillows and stuff in to washing machines ,..


but i have more things that says "wash only in cold water/tumble dry low heat" on their tags?! what am i supposed to do with these?! (ie. my blanket, clothes)

and my pillowcase/duvet cover is from ikea

it's black and white! how do i wash this without the color running and staining the white part?! (its black on one side, and white on the other)
i remember washing it in cold water once and the color ran..

ANY IDEAS??!!

I wonder if freezing would help? Put slightly moist linens in plastic bags and put them into a freezer, not the one on the refrigerator, but rather one what gets down to zero or close to it. Leave it several days, remove and wash as per instructions.

Some stuff could probably be dry cleaned, but ask your dry cleaner before you bring your stuff in.....they may not want to deal with them.

I contracted scabies from my gym last year. All I can tell you is that if you don't want to wash against the recommendations then you need to put the linens in a plastic bag and store them for at least three months. Otherwise you will keep infesting yourself. I felt so gross after my dr told me what I had that I chose to just toss everything instead of bothering to wash. I know its expensive but it was definitly worth it to me.

plastic bags for 7 days, doctors said to do that, they need to feed and no food kills them.
