If it is in a bathtub, AJAX or Comet works very good on the tub and/or shower stall floors at removing soap scum and dirt in general. Like another answerer said, Kaboom is great if you let it sit on the walls/bath for about 5 minutes, scrub with a scratch-free sponge, rinse with water, and then squeegee it dry. My husband and I own a housecleaning company here in Dallas and literally have tried everything from vinegar to acid cleaners and this one works the best on dirty showers/baths. If it is mildew, then any bleach cleaner (Clorox Clean Up works for me personally) with work fine (although the smell is very strong).

Dow Bathroom Cleaner with Scrubbing Bubbles you just spray it on and wait a few minutes and rinse it off with water. That's all you have to do. They even have a generic brand that works about as well at the dollar stores. I've been using it for years. I used to use bleach but I kept ruining my clothes. The scrubbing bubbles it the easiest. Sometimes I even use it in the toilet. Good luck. 2D

Most likely to be soap suds and body oils. Cif and a scourer if the bath is not plastic, if it is, you have to be careful not too scratch it or remove its shine, then you best bet is Fairy liquid and a sponge.

I use Kaboom! for soap scum and it works without chemical smells or any overpowering bleach. You can spray and let it sit and then wipe and rinse. For tough spots, you may have to actually scrub, but, it works!

It is soap scum. Spray on a little scrubby bubbles, let it sit ten minutes, rinse off.
