There is a wonderful product available in pet stores called "Natures Miracle." It will remove the smell, just follow the instructions. It's an enzyme, and believe me it has never yet failed me on anything I've needed to use it on. You will love it! Good luck!

Here's a really simple solution for you. Get a new spray bottle, fill it with alcohol. Set the spray nozzle on the best spray setting that you can do. Get 2 older washcloths to use. Then, take all of your cushions outside to your picnic table. Lightly spray down the cushions while lightly scrubbing the surfaces with the washcloth. Let the cushions dry in the sun. Don't forget to turn them over to get the other side dry too. This cleans and deodorizes them at the same time and the UV of the sun will also kill any bacteria and dust mites as well. This works really well for me and is easy and cheap to do.

It sometimes depends on the size of cushions. If they are to big they may not fit properly and then that would throw the balance of the washing machine off. If they are small cushions they can sometimes bunch up or worst they can be damaged by the agitator. I recommend that you try to wash them by hand. You may have to wash them several times. If that doesn't work try something that I heard about called urine gone. Good luck :-)
PS. If nothing works you could try the manufacturer to see about a replacement cushion.

If you have hand wash cycle on your machine then yes ,or even a delicate wash with a low spin speed, re-shape the foam as soon as the wash cycle has finished, no problem

You can but it may become mis-shapen. I would get a large plastic tub or storage container and take it outside and fill with soap and water and vinegar (bleach will break down the foam). Then I would get on my hands and knees and hand wash the items in the soapy water. Then I would rinse them and empty the tub and refill with hot vinegar water and let it soak for a few hours. Then rinse. And allow to dry completely in the sun.

I wouldn't do it. They'll get torn apart. Wash them by hand with a good detergent. Make sure to squeeze and rinse all of it out thoroughly. Then dry them in the sun. After that spray them with a fabric deodorizer. That should work.
