For the past several weeks, my heat pump has not been turning off when I run it. The furnace fan turns off when it is supposed to, but the outside unit keeps running. I have to turn it off at the circuit breaker. The outside unit works great. It just won't turn off. I turned on the A/C this evening, and it worked great. But the outside unit kept running after the furnace fan turned off. Could it be that the therostat just isn't turning it off, or is there something wrong with the unit itself?

They recently invaded my bathroom, me waking up to find a swarm on my counter...I'm seriously freaking out, and I don't want them in my kitchen, either! >_< Help!!(P.S. I've tried some stuff....like vinager....but they always come back.)

I live in the mountains and there are rattlesnakes on our property. I have a little girl, and was wondering besides keeping the brush back is there any plants that rattlesnakes don't like?

I used to work telemarketing and we never worked past 5 on a Saturday. It's almost 9 in the evening and a lady just called with a survey from Blue Cross. When I suggested it was a little late, she pointed out that it wasn't 9, it was 845 and was quite a jerk.

Or do they have to be planted in the ground? Also, do they grow high enough that they need to be caged and/or staked?

I planted some last year and the plants were a bit crowded. If I recall correctly, I planted them 12" apart...which is what the directions on the seed packet said to do.

We went downstairs today to find water all over the floor. Our basement is fully finished and all the flooring and carpeting was wet. We checked the drain on the floor and it wasn't clogged. We then checked the pipe on the wall of the basement and we noticed it wasn't turning on. We unplugged the plug and plugged it in to a different receptical and the motor or whatever it is came on and drained the water, but then it wouldn't shut off. We have to now unplug it to turn it off, but when its off, the basement starts to flood again. We don't know exactly whats broken or what we need to fix.

A friend of ours has died and instead of flowers I want to buy a tree (lasts longer and is very eco friendly) obviously...but I do not know where to get one. I live in the middle of no where...Gunflint Trail, grand marais, Minnesota. We have a florist but that is it. Duluth is the closest big city. Does anyone know where I can find a tree or maybe on the internet...I can not do one that is too expensive, I also like burning bushes. Please help!

Today I fertilized my lawn. Ahhh, the fragrant aroma of Scott's Fertilizer. It brings fond memories of spring, green grass, flower blooming, children playing; the world being reborn.

They look like wasps. Not too agressive, they swarm around when disturbed. One day last year when it was cooler, I bumped the fence when they were hiding and "sleeping" and lots just fell out onto the grass, so i mowed em up. I think it was 2 cold 4 them 2 fly. Any ideas what they are and how to get rid of them, they are gone during the day maybe in the field behind our house. Then they return flying around on the fence when the sun is setting. Kind of a metalic blue color with two sets of black winfs that fold into two strait lines down back.

I wrote this poem, please be honest and if you can, can you possibly help me come up with a title for it??? Thanks a lot.

Life is like a tree.
Everyone wants to grow up to be as tall and as strong as the tree in their backyard.
All the leaves represent all the memories we have had in our lives.
The ones that fall to the ground, are the ones that arent meant to be while the ones that stay are the ones that remain forever in our hearts.
Like us, the trees live on until they no longer can, then they die.
Then, they are miracuously given a second chance by having their seeds replanted just like our heaven.
So when I look at life, I think of that tree, that big strong tree.
