Will it spread or is it ok to put next to vegetables? I don't want the scent to spread to my veggies, will it do this?

Rosemary is a well-behaved plant. It grows relatively slowly and doesn't spread invasively. It's easy to control through pruning.

And you don't have to worry that you will be growing rosemary-scented tomatoes or cucumbers if you grow them in your veggie patch. The scent will not attach itself to plants growing nearby.

Rosemary is a bush type plant, you can control the growth, but it is meant to grow at least 2ft wide and 3ft high, and I have seen them much bigger, but it is up to you. You can shear it into a round shape or box it off, I say it would take up as much space as a healthy tomatoe plant. Go for it, this is a very pleasant plant, and you cook with it so I think I will fit in just fine. Good Luck with your garden this year.

Rosemary is an herb with a woody stem and excellent longevity. I rooted dozens of cuttings and made a hedge with it, it's incredible. The essential oils in it are strong and it flowers lavendar. Use it fresh or dry it, it's an amazing herb.
