have a troybilt big wheel 22 inch cut weed trimmer need to know how to adjust front ball to keep from digging?

model 186899 25A258J063 only two yrs old but not made anymore, bought at LOWES unable to get info there, web site for troy no help wheredo i go from here to look for or does someone know to adjust front to keep metal ball off the ground

When you start the engine, the string just sits there. It is mounted so it spins over a skid plate. The height it spins over the plate is adjustable from 2” to 4” by loosening two knobs and sliding the skid plate down. The engagement bar is at the top of the handle and is locked in the off position by a lever on the right side that you flip out of the way as you pull the bar up and toward the top of the handle. When the string starts spinning you will quickly see a 22” circle if you are in grass or weeds that are taller than the spinning string
