If I'm planting zucchini from seeds how far apart should I place the seeds?

I planted some last year and the plants were a bit crowded. If I recall correctly, I planted them 12" apart...which is what the directions on the seed packet said to do.

I plant mine at least 2ft. apart,they did really good last year...good luck

that sounds about right mine grew into each other so it has hard to pick but it made a beautiful plant.
