My bathtub faucet is old and leaky. I've looked online for instructions on how to remove the old one and install a new one, but I can't find any. Can anyone give me some simple directions or guide me where to find them?

Thanks!!

It hasn't changed the way it looks for over a year! But it doesn't look shrivelled up or obviously dead! Its round, about 3inches wide and 4 inches tall--somewhat barrel shaped, and deeply ridged

I'm looking for a website which sells desks made for small televisions studios (such as those in a school) without having to have one custom made. The desk will be for a news show, so it should have that style that one sees on network TV news. Nothing fancy, just a simple curved desk for a studio.

Many thanks!

Hi there - anybody have a good way to clean the white fringe on a large Persian rug? I hate to send it out as it does not appear soiled anywhere else. Just normal use has made soiled looking areas on the fringe itself. My concern is to keep the fringe looking as new as possible withough shredding the fibres or anything. Thanks for any help.

I just bought this house in New Orleans. I'm from here, but I've always hated how old and antique-ish everything is. So I now have this old house, and I'm in the process of having it modernized with hardwood floors, recessed lights, granite countertop, stainless steel appliances, smooth textured walls/ceilings, etc. I'm just getting out of a really dark place in my life, and this house is supposed to be a new chapter for me. I want the place to be bright, airy, positive, etc. The problem is that I am definitely leaning towards a dark stain called "red mahogany" for the hardwood floors. I am an extremely indecisive person, and unfortunately the time has come for me to pick a stain color to give the contractor. I think the red mahogany would be beautiful, i'm just not sure how much it would darken up the place, and what effect that would have on me, compared to a lighter, sunnier, happier pine or natural stain. What do you think? Also, would the dark floor make the place seem smaller? TY

I've lived here 19 years with the neighboring houses all one level only. Now, windows from a second story will look into my back yard. I plan to plant a "living fence" of tall growing ever-greens. Is that my only recourse? Do I have any legal rights?

Could anyone recommend an inexpensive way to clean a ring? It's a spinner ring with Celtic knotwork, so there's dirt in all the tiny holes that is very difficult to get out. It's steel or some other type of plain metal, and all the ring-cleaning solutions I've seen have been for silver or gold. How would I clean this ring?

I had a hot bowl of soup which I want to place on my coffee table. As i fear that the heat will damage the surface, I placed a moist piece of cloth on the table and then the hot bowl of soup over it. After I removed the items, to my horror, there was a white hazy ring on it. What could have caused it? Is this what they call a water spot? Was it caused by the heat from the bowl, or something from the cloth, or both? And most important, how do I remove the white ring? Appreciate anyone could help. The favour would be returned.

I use a Walmart brand of laundry detergent and have always wondered if the more expensive ones really work better. Do they clean better or make clothes last longer? I do not know if there have ever been any studies done on this (not that it is a hot topic). But I am curious to know if they work the same or not. Thank you for your input!
