I have heated the oven to high a few times to try and get rib of the smell but it wont go away!!!

Use an oven cleaner like Easy off. That is what we did when we bought our new oven and it did the trick.

Bake a pan of canned biscuits (or something similar). It will help absorb the odors. DON't EAT THEM. Then heat the oven again and see if the smell is better.

you can have the new oven smell or the smell of the cleaner you use. Therefore you have to choose the smell of whatever cleaner you want your food to smell/taste like. just start baking and the smell will even out to all that you bake.

try putting a pan of vinegar in the oven and turning in on nad leave for about 30 mins.
