use a fernco adaptor, rubber, has a hose clamp on each end. Lowe's, Home Depot and alot of others carry them, look in the plumbing section. I suggest replacing as much of the copper pipe as you can, if it's that weak in one section, the rest is on borrowed time.

If it is just a drain with no pressure then you should be able to use rubber couplings at both ends to join the copper to pvc. If you are unfamiliar just ask someone at your local hardware store and they will know what you are talking about. I hope this helps.

There is an adapter that goes from copper to PVC at any plumbing store. Lowe's or Home Depot doesn't carry them. Not enough volume for them. But check a real plumbing outlet. They'll know.

if it has leaks than it should be replaced. if you have copper piping replace with copper, it will last longer than the rest of the piping. when you decide to convert to PVC then that is the time to do it. Patching copper with PVC could be a headache.

you need to replace the whole section. you fix one, another will pop up before long. pvc is fine. use a dresser coupling on each end to conect copper to pvc. good luck.

If it's a drain pipe you can get the same stuff they use on hoses to stop leaks. You just spray it on and it will seal the pin holes. You'll find this at your local hardware store.
