I am trying to rid of weeds (manually, by hand) and am wondering if it is too late to throw seed down . I live outside of Tampa and have let my lawn go. Lots of Crabgrass and others. I want to save money by ridding most of the weeds by hand.
The lawn is patchy and the grass' root system is showing in many places. Is it too late to seed? If so, any suggestions?
My plan was to pull weeds. Plant seed and millorganite. Water as needed. And then, throw down some sort of weed preventer.
The lawn has to look good by late June, due to a prty we are throwing. Thanks for any help you can give.

I saw some really pretty orchids like this in a magazine and some other plant but I couldn't figure out what it was. I like plants that are easy to care for. I saw the examples in the Pottery barn catalog

The female connector out from the ballast is NOT offset in a way that will allow insertion of the connector on the round tube only one way. Is there only one correct way to make this connection, or will any of the 4 possible ways work?

I had a custom toughened glass shower-door made recently which shattered very quickly! The glass was 6mm thick with square corners. I have been told that if the corners were rounded slightly, this may make the glass less susceptible to breaking as this is the weak point of toughened glass. Is this true?

Every few weeks I need to jiggle the handle to stop the running water. It's not frequent enough to be a real nuisance. However, it's not necessary at all in my other bathroom. What would I do if I wanted a permanent fix?

Just doing a new home. The house is okay, but today i saw very strange greenish things on top of the main garage attic. (attic i mean as the roof)

My husband says it is asbestos, and that after we have sorted the house, the whole roof will be changed because if you touch, scratch or play, it is very dangerous. It looks old old black like strange material roof, which has thie green parts that are growing point point point each area of the roof.

Should I worry about this if i go inside and start living in the house but outside garage roof has this problem? I am a woman, and don't know much about this, and i'm worried because we cannot rush to do this roof yet. Husband is calm, but not me. Help!

Help! I live in a walk-up building in NYC. I am on the second floor, and several people in the bulding smoke cigarettes - and the smoke is finding it's way into my apartment. I put up a note asking people to be conscious of their neighbors - and to please open their windows when they smoke (and it got torn down). I've put weather stripping around my door frame to try to keep in out. I even run an air purifier -but the smoke still gets in. I am easily irritated by smoke (my eyes burn and my sinuses get blocked up) and I just don't know what else to do! Any suggestions? Thanks!
