I plan on building a small garden this Spring, and wanted to know what are some really good tips for helping my plants flourish? I want to plant some vegetables (carrots, radishes, tomatoes - nothing too complicated,) some herbs and some plants and flowers. I only know about egg shells. All advice welcome. It took forever for my herbs to grow last year, and most weren't large enough to be edible. My vines, however, flourished, but my flowers barely bloomed.

I just repainted my stained kitchen cabinets white (by sanding, priming and painting) and I wish to change the trim to black (we are doing a 50's kitchen.) Any ideas on what material I can use to glue to the cabinets?
Thanks.

How did it go? Were you happy with your purchase? I am trying to find some decent but not too expensive furniture. I know there was an article in the Washington Post today about this today. What has your experience been?

I want to tap into my HVAC system to run some heating registers into a new room. What is the best (and cheap- this rules out that Greentree tool) way to punch a hole into the sheet metal of the square metal soffit and then install a take off?

A blue ball point pen leaked a quarter-sized stain on our light brown carpet in a noticable area. I really don't want to cut it out, and replacing the carpet is not an option since it is fairly new. Can anyone help me??

For a family of four who would like the ability to shower and do laundry simultaneously, what size well pressure tank should we buy? We currently have a somewhat old Flotec FP71101-3 16"x22" (not including the legs) that poops out mid shower, it also takes its time starting up. Are these things worth repairing or should we just buy a new one?

Have a friend whose gas stove oven won't come on at all. The top burners work just fine. When you turn the oven knob, you don't hear the click click, and there's no smell of gas. Any ideas?

Already checked circuit breakers. Neighbors dont have this problem. Called the electric company and said they will come when they have time. Will they come into the house and find out what is wrong or do they just deal with outside problems? Any ideas on what to do? Its about 10 degrees and dont want the pipes to break.

I would like to purchase or make a chalkboard for my children's room. There are three boys who love to draw, so I'm thinking it needs to be around 4 feet by 8 feet to give everyone enough room.
