I live in California and have no clue of what it takes to live where snow is a regular thing to deal with. It must take a lot of your time dressing for it, cleaning the driveway, drying boots, knocking off ice cycles from the rooftops etc. I commend you. Let me know how it all works.

What's the best way to get it started and what type of care does it need?? (My bf bought me the seeds for valentine's day - he doesn't believe in buying cut flowers because they die...) Any advice is appreciated.

Eventually I want to redo the kitchen in my house, but I want to keep the cost under $10k, maybe even $5k. The kitchen is not very large either.

We want new cabinets, counter top, and new appliances:
range, over the range microwave (there currently is not one, and the exhaust fan is not directly above the range),
install a dishwasher as well as a garbage disposal (there is no dishwasher or disposal now).

What are some ways to keep the costs $5 - $10K? We could install the appliances ourselves, but I would prefer someone be paid to install the cabinets, counter and moving the exhast fan over so that we can have an OTR microwave.

I can't find a neutral colour to paint my lounge in, we have a milk chocolate leather settee and a oak laminated floor, but we have just recently painted the walls in dulux beige white which looked nice when we tried it from a sample pot but now that the whole room is painted in it the walls look a dirty greeny grey colour, so yet again I have got loads of different samples painted all over one of the walls.

I had measured 10 VAC between neutral & ground.
Questions:
1. What voltages are considered an O.K range.
2. What should I check for best results for neutral & ground connections to achieve max. operations.

This is the second time this has happened, with the first resulting in reduced power and finally a replacement fitted from the manufacturer. I'm trying to avoid this again. It's probably telling me to clean the shower head, but it's not obvious what I have to do to achieve this. Tried all the obvious things last time to no avail.

off, scrape and dry, apply new white calk and let dry for 2 days and within a month it still starts to peel off. Should I get the clear sealant?...like the rubbery kind? Would that be better than the white calk? Any other ideas on what I could possibly be doing wrong would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm looking for a houseplant that can withstand a good chewing from my cat while simultaneously not harming her. I put them out of her reach, but she climbs and jumps to get at them. Any suggestions on something that is non-toxic and safe for her?

I have never purchased a home or had one built, and I do not want to buy what is commonly called a "custom home" in a cookie cutter subdivision. I have ideas for the design on the home and plan to be involved in the design and construction process. I just need to know how to get started.

I have a beautiful Chocolate brown couch that I am making a focal point of the room witha gold colored accent wall and additional decor, and a fire place with a simple mantle that is my focal point accross from the the couch at an angle. The tv cable outlet is next to the firelpace forcing the tv to be "balanced" in the same area potentially taking the focus off of the fireplace. Can anyone give me an idea of how to keep the fireplace the focal point and keeping the tv seccondary without covering or hiding the tv?
