Hi,
I am doing an addition. What is the minimum size I need for the hole to get access into the attic?

Thanks

You should check with the ordnance in the area where you live. Sometimes this is governed by the by-laws and in other cases it isn't. If it is not, then you should make it the size of the largest person that might have to gain access. Measure them across the shoulders and then add four to six inches for spare room. then add another 2 inches for the trim. Good Luck!
