Many stores have affordable wall decor. It just depends on your interests and taste. I purchased things from typical stores like IKEA, wal-mart, bed bath and beyond, etc. However, if you are worried about things looking small on a long wall, you may consider a mural. I have also bought some stuff from ebay and I saw that they have many wall murals for lower prices. I think most of them are like wall paper, except they are a large picture. I rent, so my landlord would have a fit if I put that much adhesive on the wall. If you think this would work for you, just visit www.ebay.com and type in wall mural or wallpaper mural. In my IKEA catalog, I saw some murals with water scenes. Otherwise, you may try a large horizontal picture to complement the long wall. Hope this helps

IKEA always has inexpensive options for wall decor. Pictures, large and small. If you are looking to maximize the space of your long wall, depending on your taste, try a collage of mirrors, or maybe a straight line of themed pictures or mirrors in the same or similar sizes. Also, you can always get brave and add paint. Maybe painted squares or wall decals to go the fool-proof route. Try www.whatisblik.com. Think of them as adult stickers for decor. Less than $100 you get plenty to spread out and cover a small or large space. Good luck!

I bought some pretty unique artwork at Ross in the home decor section. I actually get comments on my home decor and I didn't spend tons of money.

try making something yourself! Go to your local hardware store and find a sheet of plexiglass...experiment on paper first, of course, but then just splash paint on it in an abstract way in colors that compliment your space. The plexiglass will give it a modern feel, and also allow you to see through to the wall underneath.
