Try laundering your clothes in a baking soda based detergent and use a great smelling liquid laundry detergent, and hang dry to keep the good smell on the clothes. Trust me, I am obsessed with deodorized clothes and It works for me and makes whatever room I hung the clothes up in, smell like that fabric softener. It's great!

Try rinsing urinated clothing before putting through the wash cycle. Have you ever tried borax with your laundry detergent? It works wonderfully on odors and stains. You will find it in the detergent aisle.

Use a scented detergent or dryer sheets. Also, check what kind of water you have...some may contain more chemicals than others and cause extra odors on your clothing and towels.

Add baking soda, or best yet, Borax/Borateem, and soak for at least a half hour before washing. You may want to do a second rinse. Borax is great stuff for odors.

Add pure baking soda to your laundry cycle and let them soak. Arm and Hammer makes their own brand of laundry detergent. Use a gain dryer sheet.

Pour 1/2 cup of clear vinegar into your wash, it will strip all odors, all old laundry soap, and built up fabric softener. Rinse twice, use softener afterwards if you wan't.

Use a good detergent like tide or Gain. You can also use baking soda for that extra boost.
