I bought a silicone half-face respirator mask on eBay and its a bit dusty, and the seller said it was in his basement....so how would i go about cleaning it properly

First remove any filter cartridges. If it is extremely dirty, you can always soak it in the sink. Avoid using any petroleum products to clean with.

A mixture of white vinegar and water (equal parts) will clean it without causing any harm to the mask. Then simply allow it to 'air dry'.

I clean my respirators, and even CPAP masks like this.

When **** breaks loose, there is no time to shave fast. Shaving will be the last thing on your mind when you have to act fast and put on a respirator. The only alternative is to stay shaven. i know it sucks, especially if you used to have a goatee or beard. There are however new respirators out now that do not require a clean shaven face to use. If you and your fellow facial hair people want to grow your hair back, get your workplace to purchase these new masks. PETITION IT!!!

Disinfect disinfect disinfect!!! Use clorox wipes or lysoll wipes and maybe a bleach and water mixture (more gentle with water) and dont use it until your absolutly sure its clean
