Turquoise is very spanish southwestern and works beautifully with the colors already in your bathroom.
I have painted this color in my kitchen and can I just say what an amazing centerpiece this is!
I recommend using Orange, Red and lime green accents with the Turquoise. (just think Horse blanket or poncho)
Maybe hang a cowsskull, lots of candles and bring in some black rot iron.

Get some of those red tiles that are hand painted in blues and yellows - the "Mexican Tiles." Then pull colors out of the tiles to paint the walls and pick out fixtures and shower curtain / rug

Try like a honey color or darker tan. Don't do the exact same shad as the toilet either. If it is a bigger and lighter room try the honey. If the room is darker try the dark, but not too dark. Also if you are trying to do it mexican please don't use red, green, catusus, or even small hats, my friend did that once and the next day i hired a enterior decorator for her.

Oh nice start, beige lends itself to any style from modern to traditional. it is colors like terra cotta, and warm earth tones for accents. Getting the proper accessories like cacti, pictures of the southwest, and finding rugs that are inspired by the native Americans of Southwest.
