There's a product called "Goo Gone" it removes gum, tape, tree sap, just about anything sticky. Just make sure you don't get any of it on the top of your shoes, it might stain. Good Luck!

Easiest way to remove gum from anything is to use an icecube to feeze it then it should come ight off with a dull bladed knife

peanut butter will dissolve the gum.... then wash with soapy water
