My boys and girls track in large amounts of mud everyday. We have a back door that comes into our laundry room and it sort of serves as a mud room. Their shoes are always covered with mud. I tell them they can't come in with mud on their shoes and they do anyway. I have to walk through mud to get to the washer and dryer. Then their shoes lie around the laundry room caked with mud and they don't have any clean shoes to wear. It becomes a huge ordeal to get them to clean their shoes and is usually more of a mess than to start with. I am at my wits end. It would help if their father would make stepping stones or a sidewalk so we don't have to walk through the mud to get anywhere.

I have a room with furniture that is predominantly dark-brown coloured, and the walls are a very, very light purple-ish, some sort of bizarre off-white setup. The current drapes are pink, and I hate it, but don't know to go for next. Ideas?

I have finished tiling my Kitchen backsplash and I really like the color of the mortar against the tile. My local home improvment store does not have a grout that matches quite as well. I have plenty of the mortar left over and would like to just us it to fill in between the tiles. Is it neccesary to grout or will the mortar work just as well if I use a good sealer?

There are SO many adorable nursery sets that I love, but it's hard to find two coordinating nursery sets (crib beddings) that look good together or one nursery set that is neutral enough for a boy and a girl. They need to be $200 or less (prices combined.) Help!

At work the furnace blows out these fumes that give me a headache, make me light headed, and sick to my stomach. The company doesn't do anything about it because they say all furnaces make that smell. Even though my furnace doesn't make that smell. Anyway I went to Urgent Care and got treated for Carbon Monoxide poisoning. By the time they drew my blood the carbon count was low. It wasn't high enough to be considered a poisoning. Is there anything I can do legally since I will not go back to work until they fix the problem with the fumes coming out of the furnace. I refuse to go to work and get sick every day because of the fumes they have blowing on us.
Any suggestions?

I really don't like the orange oil thing (special cleaning fluid for hardwood floor), it's sticky and smells real bad. I like fresh clean smell, unfortunately bleach and lysol leave streaks.

I have had this bed (see link below) and would like to paint it. It has the description of the wood. I know nothing about wood and painting. Would I use a finish? If it's not worth it or it would look funny, I'm just going to buy a different headboard. Thanks!
