It's a slogan that tells people to use non-toxic cleaners instead of toxic ones to save the environment.

I have a white half round bedroom desk with a brass rail around the top, it has tapered legs. I have seen this style furniture long ago, but cannot think of the style. The legs also have brass caps on the end and porcelain drawer handles. I would like to find a web site for styles of furniture. I think it's 1940 ish.......

I want to refinish and restore my hardwood (actually Fir) floors.Unfortunately the have had the carpet glued to them and when you remove the carpet there is ugly biege foam still stuck to the floor.Do I have to remove this prior to sanding,if so how?Can I just start sanding it off? If so, what grit sand paper? I am so afraid of destroying the floor. The other rooms had old lino that was not glued down and they are beautifull and did not need refinishing!!! Any-one with some expereince with this? I would appreciate yor advice or feedback. Thank

I am allergic to most chemicals and my clothes shrink in my uncontrollable dryer. Is there anything natural I can put in the wash to soften my clothes because when I hang them to dry they get they stiff and I have a weird skin arthritis condition called Psoriatic Arthritis and most chemicals really do damage to my flesh. So anything natural I can add to the wash or rinse cycle would be great! Thanks.

I asked that question because i was seeking home owners insurance with another company and they asked me that question. My electrical outlets in the house are 3 prong and when I looked in the panel box on the switches I saw that it said 120/240v I am not sure if that is what I should be looking at as far how much amps of power is coming in. I just wanted to know how what answer i would give the insurance agent as to what type of wiring was in the home. I may just call an electrician. Thanks for all the answers thus far.

If you got a bad one is it better just to replace it?

I've been screwing around with a new snowblower,Sears Craftsman, for a month now. The service tech cant get it to stall out. I'm just going to buy a carburetor and install it myself.

I live in a condominimum, and our landscape has a lot of trees, it's really beautiful here.

Since last summer I have noticed that two or trees we marked somehow. There are like little things stucks inside them and little orange stuff hangs around it.

Not it's NOT to be mistaken for "to be removed" makers, those are different...they are stucks inside the trees...

what are they?

I have a large basement with cement floor and walls. I want to convert it into a game room, for a pool table, foosball, etc. What is the best thing to do with the walls? I think I want to paint them and possibly do some stencil work of sports logos, etc. (Don't really want to use drywall, etc as it CAN get mildly damp down there when we have local flooding) What is the most durable paint that can be used on cement that comes in colors that would work in a game room?

Thanks!!

I am extending a wall to enclose a dining room to a den. I read on a home improvement website that tile flooring underneath the extension would have to be removed. Does anyone know if only the necessary portion of tile can be removed without having to redo the entire floor? If so, what is the best way to do it? Thanks.

Now, I've heard of this being done in new building constuction, but who has the time. Plus my driveway needs to be redone anyway. Are there any considerations such as odor or weak areas that I should know about?

So, we have hardwood floors throughout our house. My problem is, when we sleep at night and move around in our bed, the bed scoots across the floor. Do they make any kind of rubber material that goes on the bed frame's feet so that the bed won't scoot across the floor? It's driving me crazy!

I'm helping my brother prepare his house to put on the market. In the bathroom is a dark green carpet that has noticeable urine stains, which are old. Does anyone have any ideas? Dyeing products, anything that could help lessen the ugly factor other than buying new carpet. Thanks for the help!
