are Haier air conditioners any good?

I want to buy an 8000 btu haier ac from walmart. Is haier any good? Does it cool good?

Yes, I have one and it does a nice job of cooling my bedroom in the summer. My only complaint is the fan is a little louder than I would like. But if I have a choice between sweating to death or hearing a fan, I'll pick being cool and hearing the fan. If it's not for your bedroom then the fan noise is probably not going to be a factor.
