My home heater runs off oil today it has started acting up we thought we had just run out cause it had shut off on its own but it wasn't really all the way empty so we had it filled and my husband has had to prime it several times (suck the air out with a hose although it doesnt seem theres a lot of air) and after that it will run a cycle then shut off again and not come back on I know this is a complicated question but anyone who has experienced this or something similar and could give any advice would be appreciated thanks.

The army moving people lost all my husbands tools! I want to have everything restocked before he gets home from Iraq. What do I need? He does work on cars but he would only need the basics, and he use to have quite a bit of small power tools but none of them were large. Please Help! Thank you!

I have a metal arch in my backyard and I want to train a flowering vine to grow over it. So far, I've tried climbing roses and clematis. The roses never took and the clematis is okay, but not full enough and it's nothing to look at in the winter. Wondering what vine I could use that won't turn into a garden bully.

My tenants have said this happened to them and are threatening to withold rent until I fix them. I have lived in the flat and know the cupboards are sturdy. Is it possible that they really did 'just' fall off the wall? How do I find out?

The only thing that works is soaking them overnight in Napisan. This ultimately takes it toll on good shirts over time. I have tried sprays and rubbing the area. Help.

I blead, and serviced the radiators, as I do every year. The furnace is in excellent condition, but cannot seem to find the problem. I did however, recently rehabbed my basement apartment and had the radiators removed from the basement. (Installed wall heaters) Could this have been the cause of the problem?

We can't afford new cabinets and we want to lighten our kitchen cabinets. They are stained a dark brown color. We plan to prime and paint whether we do just the doors or all of the cabinets. We considered leaving the cabinets the brown color they are now and painting the doors off-white/cream. We will use black knobs, drawer pulls and hinges. How do you think this will look? Please tell me the reason behind your answer and don't just say that you think it will look good or bad.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Assuming the heater runs at maximum capacity (10,000 btus).

Is there any conversion available that I can do other calculations(e.g. ho long 20 lbs of propane will last for a 30,000 btu heater)

Hope this makes sense! Tahnks for your help!

I have a Yard Machines 3.5 HP single-stage snow thrower with a 2-cycle engine. It has been tempermental this winter (and last) but pretty much follows a very odd trend. After I get it started, which may take some effort, it will run fine for about 5 minutes. Then it bogs down like the choke somehow got flipped on and it will eventually die. I have checked the choke many, many, many times, with no result. If I let it sit and cool off for 5-10 minutes, it will (sometimes) start back up and then will do the same thing after about 5 minutes.

WHAT IS UP WITH THIS ENGINE? I can't figure it out.

Contractor finished bathroom remodel. Ceiling fan/light and vanity light are all on same light switch. He said it would cost $150 to add wiring in wall to add switch. Shouldn't this have been done anyways? Existing lights were on same switch but this was a remodel? Now i have two lights and ceiling fan going all the time!

Well, we have an OLD quartz heater that you can use in rooms to heat them up. Its the kind where you turn it on and there are two things in there that get hot and red and let off heat. If you put it on Low, one of the coil things come on, but if you put it on high, both come on.

Well I was freezing the other day so I put the heater on high. 5 minutes later, there is this LOUD LOUD BUZZZZZZZZZZZ noise coming from the heater that was 20 times louder than what the heater normally is. i thought it might blow up...i was so scared so i unplugged it as fast as i could.

I waited 10 minutes...and plugged it back in and it was going to BUZZ really loud again like something was wrong with the electrical system in it or something....but now (1 day later), its working like before but i leave it on low...im scared it will happen again. should i buy a new heater?????

I understand that they have new portable heaters that don't have the red coils in the back. they just let off hot air

Are Bahama or rolling shutters the answer or installing a second window with dead space in between? I would like something attractive, but soundproofing is more important than appearance. If you have approx costs that would be helpful. Thanks

Its a heavy door with boarding on the other side, I drilled right through it. Door is from late 1940's I would think. I just thought what the hell I've done it now so I might as well finish the job. My question is though if it was supposed to be a fire door why is there a huge 2 inch (2.5cm) gap at the bottom?

Does anyone know where I can find plans to loft an existing XL-Twin bed? My campus has a policy that all furniture IN a room must -stay- in the room, so a loft bed has to be able to encorporate the existing XL-Twin bedframe provided by the housing department. I was looking for some ideas for lofting a my bed next year. I found a couple of plans, but nothing seems to be what I'm looking for...

I need some help. We have a 1930s brick home, with apparently blocked pipes. Underneath an outside decking, the pipes lead directly from the bathroom, toilet, laundry etc. Water is coming up from these pipes, including sewerage etc. How much should I charge for a plumber to clean out these pipes?

Secondly, if the cleaning does not work? What are the next options? Worried I might be up for a huge bill.

i have a very old Troy Built snowblower thats giving me problems. it wont stay running on its own. i opened the fuel line, put new gas and oil in messed around with the fuel mixture settings after my first attempt at starting it didnt last long. i have to use the electric starter cuz i broke the string a while back. it has 4 choke settings and i have to use the 2nd setting (the 1st being full choke) to keep it running. but it doesnt stay running, it sounds like it dies then comes back. when i get it stable, i whent and plowed some snow but when it got a little tough, it stalled on me.

any idea what could be going on? i desperately need to fix this. i have multiple 75ft driveways to take care of and i cant afford a new blower.
