Late to the game, but for other people searching this topic - Ton of bricks = ton feathers, but 5 gallon of bricks weighs a lot more than 5 gallons of bricks (density dependent). Watch worlds strongest man - 5 gallons of water < 5 gallon Sand < 5 gallon sand + water. On topic - a lot of commercial syrups run 12 lb/gallon, so the 60# is probably about right. That's a bit heavier than water, which runs 8 lb/gallon.

If you're looking for an exact weight you'll have to buy one and weigh it, however, I'd judge about 35 - 40 lbs., from the last one I carried up the steps.
