I mainly have family photos and some home interior displayed throughout my house. I really like the different decorations available at the Christian book stores,....but they are so high. Most of them are mainly scriptural - like things. I'm a pretty crafty person, so I thought I could possibly do some of my own. I just need ideas (pictures, wreaths, etc.). Do you know of any or a website with such?

My lemon tree was planted a few years ago from a seed from a store bought lemon, so will it take longer for it to bloom & grow lemons? Planted in Spring 2001, It hasn't bloomed or grown lemons yet.? I have another tree & it hasn't grown as much as the other & it was planted at the same time?

I was wondering if someone can tell me about furnaces. I bought this new house, and I'm a new home-owner so I'm new to this, and it's been nice. I keep the house pretty clean but it does get dusty around the area where the furnace is. I bought an expensive filter that claims to trap everything so is that all I have to do? Can I vacuum around that thing? What else can I do to clean it? I'm just scared around it because I don't want to blow the entire place and me along with it. What's like a general maintenance rule regarding furnaces? I have pets too so I want to make sure that the place is pretty clean - dust and dander free - since most of my family is allergic. I want them to be fine when they visit. Is the filter all I need so the air it circulates is clean or is there anywhere else I can change or clean at least. Thanks.

We tried to take out a care agreement with a well know utilities provider and were told that the Powermax 155x boiler system we had wasn't coverable due to the fact that it needed stripping down and nearly £400 worth of work doing on it. The engineer also told us that this work would need to be done every 2 years. Now this boiler is no more than 6 years old and I don't see how a boiler this new needs such work doing on it? Is it just a ploy to get more money from us or do these boilers need this much attention? The way I see it is that I would rather buy a new boiler than have work doing to one every couple of years??!! Can any central heating experts advise me!!???? THANKS

His tomatoes make mine look like the little baby tomatoes that you find in the grocery store except mine are usually brown in color and wilted.

I need some help from anyone who has replaced the Batting on their coushions. I've been looking around and Micheals has two different kinds to choose from. Batting for quilting and Batting for comforters, could i use any one of these? One is flater than the other. Anyone with any experience?
Also i'm going to replace the stuffing in the pillows, i was thinking about Poly-fil.

I've balanced the TV on the edge of the bath so I can watch my shows while relaxing. I could really do with a shelf drilled into the tiles though. Is this possible?

How do you make inexpensive things to start a fire in your fireplace? I have heard of rolling newspapers, etc. Any ideas with sawdust? Can you safely bind sawdust with wax or anything?
thanks, Norma R

Obviously you can't staple to metal wall though maybe to posts which seem to be about 16 inches apart. I have a lot of insulation left to me by the previous owner, but I'm not sure how to fasten the insulation bags to the wall?

I received a letter today from the gas company.
The gas company want to replace the pipework to my house. No problem with that.

However it seems they also want to inspect the fittings inside the house and as my cooker is old they will be sure to 'FIND' some fault and force me to get a new one 'NOW'

I have never invited them in for a 'Free' safety check for this reason

I can see that in the future homeowners will be required to have a 'check' every year as is a legal requirement if they were a landlord.

Old people are at a real risk of being forced to buy new appliances at short notice.

What can I do, I will let them in to replace the pipe to the meter but do I have to let them 'inspect' the cooker

Before anyone questions 'safety' I live alone the only life at risk is my own
