fst of all south facing houses r nt so mch -ve dat ur thinking.
Kitchen on south r better option.
If there is an open space in front of ur entrance then trun it into a small garden and plant only floral plants or some medicinal ones not a single cactus and try that they never dry up coz this can increase the negative effect ,rather plants are green and will definetly low down da -ve energy .. try it...

Vastu Shastras are right about many things, but please do not think that God is not bigger than any Shastra ..... please you trust God to protect and guard you .... and if you wish you may put things by and on your door for protection... you must have some picture of a household god who will look after these things for you .... but God Himself, The Supreme is bigger than all this .... please do not worry so .... just trust God and you will be alright, trust Him every day.... you should check with your friends to see how many of them have houses with the main entrance to the south, and they should let you know if it is unauspicious ... that way you will be taking a poll and seeing for yourself by some scientific inquiry into the matter what is going on......and then you may have some priest come to your house and bless it and make it safe for you ..but more than all this .... it is God Himself who guards you and looks after you ...........Peace & Love LPM

Hang a red mirror on your door or front porch.
There are plenty of oriental shops that sell mirrors for this purpose, they are usually hexogenal (?, sorry, I sucked at geometry) in shape and are relatively inexpensive.
It is supposed to reflect negative energy back to where it came from....
