I need some help from anyone who has replaced the Batting on their coushions. I've been looking around and Micheals has two different kinds to choose from. Batting for quilting and Batting for comforters, could i use any one of these? One is flater than the other. Anyone with any experience?
Also i'm going to replace the stuffing in the pillows, i was thinking about Poly-fil.

Gurl,
When you ask about replacing the batting, I'm assuming you mean the batting around the foam. This keeps the fabric from rolling or shifting. Either one of the battings will work. I normally choose the flatter, but if you are trying to get a few more years out of a worn foam cushion, the one with greater loft is fine. The challenge is to fit it all in the cover. While you have the cover off, you might consider gently washing the cover. I did my covers by soaking them in warm soapy water in the bathtub for 30 minutes, then swishing and rinsing. I was amazed by the amount of dirt!!! (then I let them air dry overnight)

Poly-fil is fine for most pillows!

Good luck!

I like the foam the best. Either one of those battings will do just fine it will depend on how much padding you need. Poly-fil is great for stuffing pillows.

just fyi, IKEA has some great down pillow inserts. you can buy covers there or make your own to size. they run about $5. pretty good when you consider what you'd spend on polyfill and batting.
