I have a room with furniture that is predominantly dark-brown coloured, and the walls are a very, very light purple-ish, some sort of bizarre off-white setup. The current drapes are pink, and I hate it, but don't know to go for next. Ideas?

I would choose a light to medium taupe. Choose a taupe with a brown undertone over a pink or green undertone.

Taupe is an easy colour to decorate around, very neutral.

When you choose to paint go for another shade of taupe and your room will look very calm and cozy.

Good Luck

if the furniture is chocolate brown. try using a light shade or a cool print if you dont have a print already. my fav color to go with brown is light blue because of the contrast.
