does anyone out there know just how much water,90% isopropyl alcohol, and fragrance to use. Also I have just read that using 90% and above strength alcohols are not good for the respiratory tract, tho the Lampe Berger lampes say that the lampes are used to kill bacteria in the home.I guess what I am asking is 1.what are the main ingredients to make the oils for the lampes and 2.Are the oils burning in the lampes safe for the respiratory tract???ANY help would be appreciated....Thanks!

We own a home and have a well. The water has been tested, and is ok health wise!, BUT, it has a high iron content and it turns everything yellow. The tubs, sinks, etc. we can restore the new look with scrubbing, but now Im at a complete loss witht he laundry. It is actually yellowing my clothing. Is there anything I can add to the wash to keep that from happening, without hurting my clothing,.or any other solutions??????

I was thinking of a dark red but I am a little scared because my cabinets are going to be a darker brown, and I am afraid I will make it to dark. Another concern is that the kitchen and living room are very open. I will have to paint them both the same color and that is not to much of a problem but the living room is open two storys and that means that I will have to paint the upstairs the same color also.

We tend to lean toward more warm colors and my husband refuses to paint the wood trim, because it matches the hardwood floors. I want to brighten everything up! Thx!

I have one of those cheap (Jobmate 14.4V) cordless drills $40. I'm starting to use it a lot more and wanna buy a new better cordless drill. I didn't want to spend to much, but I relize I'm gonna have to if I want a good one. DeWalt $200, Bosc $200, Black & Decker $100. Is Black & Decker decent? And what Volt do you recommend? I know they have 12V-36V 36V sounds unnecessary. HELP THANKS

I was just going through old photo albums and there were about 4 dead ones and 1 live one in one of them. And the dead ones you could still poke without them crumbling or breaking at all so I'm guessing not dead too long. We've never had a real brown recluse problem before, the occasional one will pop up,but it was normally small, not about the size of a half dollar like these ones were.Does anybody know any good tricks to get rid of them?
We have 3 cats by the way so I don't want anything that could hurt them.

We are a family of 5 and am considering having a power shower but have been told by friends they have occasionally ran out of hot water when all the family are showering. As we like to spend a considerable amount of time each in the shower, I am wondering if anyone else has had the problem of running out of hot water. Also if anyone has any other comments regarding power showers I would be grateful before we make our choice.

I have a gas oven in my kitchen that I haven't used in YEARS. And I mean quite literally, YEARS. I'm not even sure if it works properly anymore, considering that I haven't touched it in so long. I know this question seems silly, but would it be dangerous to attempt baking with it, or even turning it on?
Also-if it turns out that I can try to bake with it, what other signs of danger should I look for, other than the smell of gas?
Thanks!

I can identify the live vs neutral cables by their colour with their female spade connectors intact but cannot see markings on the motor to say which way around they sh.

ould be connected. Unfortunately, the cable connectors detached during disassembly before I could mark them and so I only have as reference the 'memory' effect in the wire insulation to suggest which is the best natural fit.

Any help greatly appreciated from the world wide wisdom.

Hi, I am a terrible decorator. I have some nice paintings, but other than the paintings and my furniture I don't have a flare for making my space more pretty. I am in an apartment, so I can't paint the walls. My walls are cream and my carpet beige. I have a black couch and tan-colored marble topped kitchenette. So its very basic. My paintings are kind of Victorian. Does anyone have any basic inexpensive ideas how to keep my home more beautiful? By the way, I don't want any plants or flowers, because of allergies and I think they bring bugs. Thanks.

hi i have oneida silverware that is stainless. but my knives get hardwater stains that look like rust on them all the time. i try to wipe them off with a rag, but not all of it comes off. also, when i put them back in the dishwasher they just become stined up again. what can i do? its weird because i have a cheaper set of meat knives from ikea that never get these stains on them. anyway, any suggestions on how i can keep them clean of stains? thanks.
