Want to lay sewer line to tank 150 feet away. Have looked at upflush type toilets but they are expensive and electric driven. sewer will have probably half the waste water of a conventional house sewer. 4 to 6 litre (1 - 2 gallon) flush toilet and shower and sink attached.

I am learning how to work with wood and different projects call for these nailers and I'm not sure what the real difference is. I even saw a kit at Costcos with both and a Floor Nailer (I know what that one is for).

I need to do some moldings and I think I need a Frame nailer for that.

Any help is appreciated. If you can, include some practical usages for each type of nailer.

Thanks

Remodeling a new rental, and someone painted the walls a brick red color. The room has wood paneling all around. Can I paint over the red? What exactly is primer, and do I have to use it first? Also, since the room is paneling, I was thinking about painting only the bottom half of the walls a sage green color, and putting a new sponge paintable wallpaper on the top, seperating by trim, to create a new look. Any sugguestions on how to do all of this? Cost? The room is a 11X12 if that helps. And how much wallpaper do I need? Thanks!

I recently went on a campout and had a couple of humongous bonfires which ended up making all of my clothing smell like woodsmoke and burnt meat. The smell washed out of my cotton shirts easily enough, but remains firmly inground in my coat. The coat is made partially of polyester and I think that might have had something to do with it. What should I do?

I am now even more confused. The boiler in question can be found here:

http://www.worcester-bosch.co.uk/index.php?fuseaction=product.detail&con_id=5052&detail_id=5793

and it was item 10 that i tinkered with.

was this correct to bring the pressure up or should i be looking at another tap to adjust.

One guy mentioned that there should be a tap like devise underneath the boiler that lets the water in, this needs to be opened to increase pressure.

I have a "garden tap like" tap about 0.5 metre under the boiler, is this the one.

Please excuse my ignorance as I am useless with plumbing but don;t want to make a big mistake.

Many thanks

Dan

I have an almost new central heating system.

The radiators make a low wooshing noise all the time. I've been round them all and am convinced that they are bled properly, although I could be wrong.

The noise only stops when either the toilet's flushed or the kitchen tap's running, then it starts again.

I thought they were on a different system, this is really confusing me

Please help !!!!

I have recently moved into a new property but the Worcester 28i Combi boiler seems to have problems with pressure. The boiler works but the pressure has never gone above 1 and so is always below the recomended pressure.

If I need hot water and the contiol is on the hot water only mode the pressure is not enough to provide hot water, unless the central heating control is set to on, then it is ok.

I spoke to a friend and they recomended that I locate the pressure release valve and turn it until the pressure built up. Problem is it will only turn one way and the pressure has gone down even more now.

Have I done the right thing but not enough or is there something else I need to do. I can't afford over £100 to get someone out just to turn the correct knob.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dan

I would like to plant some trees near my house, I was thinking about a Eucalyptus, a Walnut and maybe cherry. problem is the house is only about 8 metres away from where I want to plant the trees. Will the roots effect the foundations (even if the house is at a higher level than the trees I want to plant) and make them structural unsafe? Also, I am in trouble of causing to much change in the water table which again could effect the foundations?

Some vandals broke 3 of our double glazed windows - toughened too! Does anyone know of a plastic film or similar that can be applied to make it extremely difficult to break? I know there are those that stop it from breaking in to a million pieces but i'm more interested in knowing if there is one that stops it breaking completely?

I live in a humid weather country; I really suffer from having moisture on my car's glass. The wiper does not clean properly.
Do you know a good idea to clean the glass? Wiping by tissues just clean it for one minute or such before the moisture forms again!

It's 15 degrees below zero, snowing and icy enough to slip. I decided to artsy up an old book case because I need a place for school books... While I do have black spray paint I decided the weather was too horrible to stand in the snow spraying for a good ten minutes.. sooo.. I did something amazingly stupid... I used black oil paint (for canvas') to cover the book case. The book case is made of the same material as most cheap office furniture that comes in a box and you have to assemble.. you know ply wood with a paper covering. Now the oil paint has been on for about an hour and is still rubbing off with even the slightest touch. My question is.... How long, if at all, with it take before the oil paint is dry and the bookcase is ready to use?
The bookcase is small and more for decorative use and I've given it a fabric lining which means I don't care if the paint isn't very durable. I just want to be able sit it on the floor without a big black ring. Thank you so much!
