try a laundry treatment such as Shout....works for me most of the time...let it set for a while before washing, and scrub it into the fabric well.

wd-40 can get oil stains off of concrete, not sure about a piece of cloth. but it should work.

i tell ya what though those MR. Clean Magic Reasers you can buy for like four bucks at the supermarket work awesome on just about everything

This sounds nutsy but I swear it works...the hand cleaners that Mechanics use like GOOP they will take the oil and grease out of clothes.
For small stains... Dawn dishwashing liquid will work too.

It depends on the type of fabric....If it's a sturdy fabric like jeans or a tee shirt try Kaboom carpet cleaner. It got oil off of my husband's work clothes.

Try a little dab of Dawn dishwashing soap.

I always use Dawn on any oil stain....works well!

I think it is best to use hot water and soap. For most fabrics, this must work.
