I'm a farmer. To pick sweet corn make sure your silks on the husks are turning light brown. When planting corn make the rows 4 or more . Because corn is wind pollinated. Pick the sweet corn then cook it . You will taste the different from the sweet corn in the store.

I have to agree with the farmer, the corn is ready when the fibre coming out of the husks are brown and the cob looks and feels full to touch.
As he said, the corn is wind pollinated and having at least 4 rows is benifical to get a great Crop.
Hope it tastes great!!

Well its an odd time for corn to be ready, I hope you planted at least 3 rows so that the bees pollonized it! Usually you can tell when the stalks are very tall. Check one of the fat cobs and pull back just a little and check the kernals and see if they look right not too small but don't check all of them that way or you will stunt their growth.

there are entire books on the matters you ask approximately. My suited suggestion is initiate small. novices in many cases put in a too-large backyard, get crushed, then provide up on the comprehensive ingredient. This spring, possibly plant a pair fruit bushes, and probably a hazelnut shrub. in case you go with for a veggie backyard, put in some tomatoes or peppers (commonplace first greens). spectacular now, bypass to the library, and grab a large stack of books on gardening, vegetable gardening, growing to be fruit, etc. turn by using and make useful there are various photos - gardening is seen, and an all-text cloth e book on gardens isn't for novices. Take 'em abode, peruse them, enable them to motivate you, provide you recommendations. The techniques you will need are a spade, a hand pruner, and a trowel. i like a heavy backyard fork. each gardener might have sought after techniques, yet you do no longer choose for extremely many in any respect.
