If were going to pay for a cleaning service, would you pay a bit more for a service that used all natural, hypoallergenic, biodegradable products? Or would expect that type of service to cost the same as all the others?

I'm having a problem with electric dryer. I decided to check the wiring for the 3-prong 240V outlet. The 2 black wires are 10 gauge but the 1 white wire is 12 gauge. We're experiencing problems with the dryer intermittently shutting off & blowing the circuit breaker. Could 12 gauge wire possibly be the cause of this problem? It doesn't seem worth rewiring the outlet unless there's a good chance that the 12 gauge is the problem. The dryer's power cord seems to be wired correctly. I guess there might be a problem with the dryer, but I'm trying to avoid replacing the dryer just to find out that I have a wiring problem.

I have little black bugs that are continually harrassing my plants. They really like water sources ending up in my coffee, contact lenses and anywhere there is food. I was told they might be fungus gnats and to tape yellow post-its on pencils and put them in my plants. Is this true? If not, how do I erradicate them? I don't want to use pesticides.

I love my electric blanket because it's the only thing that keeps me warm in the winter time, but lately it hasn't been warming at all and the temperature controller devices just keep blinking on and off. Does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it? Should I just trash it and get a new one?

We recently found out our basement has high levels of radon. We know what we can do to help, but I have some questions. Also, the measurement they use to measure the amount of radon, we have 50 something. How long do you need to be exposed to it for it to harm you at that rate? If it affected me, will the affects show now, or later when I'm older?

I don't have too much money and the house is a mess, the floors are caving-in on some parts and the boiler is so loud (always makes a growling noise and it scares the little ones). Problem is I'm not experienced in fixing houses, I would hire someone but I'm not that rich so what do I do?
