My house got super infested with fleas. Any suggestions?

Remove rugs and other items that can be laundered. Vacuum the carpets real good. Purchase flea bombs and set a few around the house, follow the directions on the can. Be sure you treat the animals with shampoo made for flea removal.

I agree with the others and launder what you can, and purchase flea bombs. But beyond that, in the future, you need to safe guard your pet from further infestations. I use the Hartz F;ea Drops, which you put onto the back of the neck of the dog or cat and it protects for 3 months. I know there are ppl opposed to using these on pets, but it's better than some of the alternatives (home flea infestation, disease spread to pet or human family member from fleas etc...)

First of all give you pet a bath with New Dawn dish detergent or Palmolive, there is something in this dish soap that will kill the fleas off of your pets.Trust me it works I have tried it.Then wash and clean your pets bed in a bleach solution. Now vacuum all the carpet if you have some and all you furniture, through out the bag in a sealed garbage bag.Make sure that you wash all of your bedding as well as you are probably dragging the fleas in there on you feet and clothing. Now get a spray bottle and put in 1 part bleach and 6 parts water(example 1 cup of bleach to 6 cups water) now spray away on everything, make sure that the spray bottle is set on misting, it will not harm your furniture. you do not have to soak it just spray with a side swishing movement, make sure to remove the cushions on you couch and chairs.also make sure that you spray around the boarder of your floors where there might be cracks where fleas can hide.you might want to remove any animals or young children in the house when doing this. Also a good rule of thumb is also you might want to where a painters mask while doing this yourself. You may have to repeat the spraying in about 2 weeks as fleas hatch in about this time. bombing works also but everything has to be out of the house for at least 24hrs. and can be hazardist . These bombs have been out lawed in Canada. Good Luck

Buy disinfectant and purchase a garden sprayer. Spray the floor and rugs lightly. Fleas are not that difficult to kill but you have to spray everywhere that is at least within two feet off the floor.
