If you are talking real chalk like the blackboard stuff then shut off the TV and wipe it off with a damp paper towel.

If it is a yellow builders marker (like a hard crayon) then it depends on whether you have a TV with a glass cover on it. Shut off the TV and use any strong cleaning spray to soften it and get it off the glass. If it is not glass in the front then you need to call the TV maker or the place where you bought it and see what they will suggest to not ruin the plastic front.

You can try a little rubbing alcohol on a microfiber cloth or cotton dish towel. Just try a little corner to see if it works. You don't want any liquid running down the screen, so just put a little bit on the cloth. Otherwise, read your manual or see if the manufacturer has a web site or phone number that you could call. Of course, anything with an abrasive in it would leave marks on the screen and don't use the Magic Eraser either.

Pledge makes a special "multi-surface" cleaner that works well on electronic screens. We use it on our big screen and it makes a huge difference in the quality of the picture, too.

If it is a regular glass tv screen, spray a cloth with windex and wipe, and keep him away from the TV.
