I had an old craftsman saw. Spindle went on it. Priced out a new one and it was near $300 for a 10 inch.

I got onto www.craigslist.org and i bought a whole barely used 10 inch Craftsman for $75. Then I sold the old one on there for $50 to somebody wanting a motor and a guide and fence off of mine. People buys these things and they simply arent woodworkers and then have to rid of them.

You can braze that thing. Go buy a mapp gas and oxygen kit for around $25 at Lowes, they have like 5 brass brazing self flux rods in there and braze it up. It will be good as new then.

I often use Sears.com, then click on parts and service. The parts listings are large, and many offer exploded views of the object in question.
They also offer tech help, as well as delivery, and phone numbers.
I don't stricly use Craftsman any more, but have a few old power tools that still function.

You will need to contact your sears store of choice and order the part from them. They can show you a blown up view of all the parts on your saw so as you can point out the part in question for ordering
