Hair and clothes will wash out with normal soap and water. On carpet, walls I'd use a vinegar and water solution of equal parts. Battery compartments is a bit tricky. I think I'd try q-tips dry...just wipe it out. The greasiness may act as a lubricant which shouldn't harm batteries, however when in doubt especially with a child's toy, I'd check with the toy manuafacturer and just double check. Good luck...sounds like a mess! Someone had fun!

I tried using soap and water and even ran the clothing through the wash but it left a grease stain. I rewashed with a spot cleaner but the darker stain is still there. Any other suggestions?

Dawn on everything but you could use a little alcohol on the q-tip idea. That should get the job done. Hope this helps you out.
