I grow tomatos in 5 gallon buckets, I've always had very successful luck. Just your opinion which is better, 13-13-13 or cow manure, or would it be better to use both?

My home does not have an odor, but I enjoy the smell of pleasant scents in the air. I normally use Glade scented plug-ins or Stand alone air fresheners, but those don't last very long before I have to replace them. Any suggestions? No incense...I don't like the smokiness of it. Thanks

I need to know how to get these hats and everything clean. Does anyone have suggestions? I've tried vacuuming them, cleaned them with a damp rag, and after that because I didn't think about it I used canned air. I need to get them clean, and looking white again! They are so pretty when cleaned..

Our fireplace was not maintained too well before we bought this house. It has been fine for 3 years, but this year we had some major rains and now it has pretty much been snowing non stop for 2 weeks. We have noticed that water was dripping into the fireplace which has never happened. Upon closer inspection I also noticed that the mortar between the firebrick were kind of foaming and very soft. I could scoop the mortar right out of the joint if I wanted to. Now this looks like it might have been repaired before, but obviously not correctly. My question...1. why is there water coming in? 2. how do I fix the mortar problem? Is there a special mortar I should use? Someone said to just build a fire and it'll all dry out on it's own, but I don't buy that theory. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

The pull mechanism (that is on top of the tub faucet) that diverts water from the tub to the shower head is broken. Is it easy to fix? If so, what's your advice?

I have 6 apple trees that need pruning badly, and was wondering if now would be a good time to do it. Half of what I can find says winter and the other half says late fall or early spring.

I have some sort of bracket/floret mushrooms growing from the mortar on an outside wall. I also have the same mushrooms growing exactly in the corresponding place on the inside of the wall. What I want to know is, what sort of structual damage is this a sign of or causing. (It's adjacent to a flat roof that is awaiting repair but I fear the damage has now gone deeper than just a roof problem.

Here is my problem... A maintenance guy came to do work on behalf of the codominium corp. which he said was to maintain the furnace. He ended up cleaning the "A" coil and now the condo wants to bill me for 1/2 the work, because they say that the "A" coil is part of the a/c. I feel that it is the codo responsibility, especially considering he was there to clean the furnace.. Why did he touch it if he wasnt contracted to do it, unles it is part of the furnace?? i dunno im stumped, hopefully someone can help me out here.
thanks for your time

I was making microwaveable popcorn and I put the wrong time to cook. It overcooked and the bag caught fire. It stained the inside of the microwave and made a terrible odor. I got most of the stain out of the microwave but not completely. I have sprayed Febreeze inside, also room deodorizers. Can anyone give assistance in removing the odor? Thank you! Have a good day!
