We are a family of 5 and am considering having a power shower but have been told by friends they have occasionally ran out of hot water when all the family are showering. As we like to spend a considerable amount of time each in the shower, I am wondering if anyone else has had the problem of running out of hot water. Also if anyone has any other comments regarding power showers I would be grateful before we make our choice.

If theres 5 of you and you want to stay in the shower for more than 3/4 minutes apiece then a power shower is not for you unless you consider increasing the size of your hot & cold storage .( If you did run out of water the pump would be shot to pieces in no time.)Another option could be a combi boiler (obviously depending on whether you are about due to change yours) They produce 'indefinite' hot & cold water at high pressure so you wouldn't need to worry about being last in the queue & having a cold shower!

I have a power shower and i have never experienced it running out of water, and seen as I'm usually last after 3 other people so nope, but i don't know whether others do so.

Yes as it uses Hot & cold water, you will run out.!!!
Not like an electric shower that heats the water as your using it. Dont get one stick to an electric one.!!!
Iv been to a few hotels which have them & if your not fast you wont get a shower,

Because the flow is so much greater, then yes it is possible to run out of hot water. Because they use so much more water and therefore energy, they are not the most environmentally friendly of things.
