There was a water main break in front of our house last night and the city came to repair it. They dug out the bottom part of our drive way, part of our sidewalk, and part of the neighbors side walk and yard. When they finished they filled in what they torn up with what looks like asphalt. So, there is a HILL of asphalt where our driveway/sidewalk/portion of yard used to be. I just wanted to know if inorder to get it repaired properly, do we have to pay for it, or can we report something with the city?

d so the rod doesnt move them--can i just loosen them -attach the cable to each side-readjust the wheels back on the rod to as close to where they were and tighten them back against the rod. this eems a lot easier and safer than untensioning a very powerful spring.

I've seen this in older homes, usually located in the southern United States. I understand that Dutch homes were built with double front entrance doors too.

I know there are various mounting kits available, but I'm not sure what to use. I was thinking about drilling a 1 1/4" hole in the bottom of the post (and double floor joist below) and gluing a 1 1/4" dowel rod into it. Experienced advice would be appreciated.

I have drilled holes in a block waal and attached a basket ball hoop. However the wall has not provided adequate support for the fixings and the hoop is loose. Is there any product I can put in the holes to increase the grip of the fixings?

Here's the deal, I'm in a situatoin where I share a 2 level house with another tenant (I'm downstairs, she's up) and she is one insane woman. She obviously doesn't like that fact that I also live in this house too, and she makes it known. We also share a front enterance (I have a back door, but in certain instances I need to use the front),in which there's a little porch, and does not want me to use it even though I have legal right to it. If I happen go thru her precious doorway, she'll come home, slam her door, scream, stomp on the floor like a child, throws her own dishes, blares her t.v to the weather channel all hours of the night, and to make matters worse, she obstructs the front enterance with a chair and boxes (somtimes her smelly garbage)and even goes to such lengths to tape up MY door with duct tape. If there ever was a fire, and the front door was my only way out, I'd have an obsticle course because of her **** there.
Any advice? The landlord won't do anything.
