We've moved into a new house and don't have a vent for the tumble drier any more. The hole it occupies is some distance from the nearest door/window. Can I convert the output into a condensing tumble drier and feed it straight into the drain (which is right next to it)?

When I was shopping for furniture a couple years ago, I saw these great armchairs. They are much bigger than a regular armchair, but smaller than a love seat. The seat of the chair was also much deeper than normal, making the seat perfect for curling up in.

The store that sold them is no longer around, and I can't seem to find them anywhere else. Has anyone else seen these chairs that I'm talking bout? If so, please tell me where you saw them, especially if you've found them online.

Can anyone tell me how I can start a simple garden in my backyard. I want to just be able to plant flowers that can grow in shade, and make it beautiful, but I'm on a budget.

I'm renting a 1920's house with two-tone sage green walls in the loving room. The trim around the floor and the doorways are darker. I also have no door to my bedroom (not standard size anyway). The carpet is biege berber matching the loveseat. Now, my questions are these...

1) What color / style should I do for the window treatments? I'd like to add more colors and not look like I'm color blind.

2) Sould I put the curtain rod to my bedroom in the living room going in or in the bedroom going out?

I bought a house as a rental and the stove plug is in the absolute wrong spot. I am wondering if its possible to either buy extension cord for the stove so I can move it farther away (about 12 feet), and how safe this would be or how much work is involved in moving the whole outlet to another spot. I do not want to hire a professional. I plan on getting my dad or bf to move the plug if that's what I'm going to do, since they know a little more about DIY stuff than me. Help!

Me and my husband have been searching apartments for rent and 90% come with carpets. Being both from Europe, we are not used to the smell of carpet. We just wondered what happened in this country that so many people use carpets.
