i just upgraded to a full size bed. i live with my mom and my son and i always had a twin bed. finally i cleaned my room really well and had room for a full size bed. i am so thrilled. the problem is, i don't have alot of money to get a nice bed set for it. i wanted to get two more good quality pillows, (that aren't gonna go flat in a week) sheets, pillowcases, bedskirt... and also a sham for the pillow i have and a comforter. and an extra blanket. i know i am gonna spend alot. that's the issue. i went to walmart to look at the discount bedding and it either didn't match my room at all or it was striped. i want to try to buy everything kinda together so i not only save money but so it all matches. i'm looking for a blue casual theme. not boyish. kinda girly but not gonna scare my bf away. any ideas???

I hate the look of mismatched whites - but I don't know what color the trim is to purchase the exact same shade. Is it going to be aweful if I paint the doors a starchy white, compared to the more antiqued look of the off white? Any other suggestions for color (closet doors, and bedroom doors)? We currently have browns, greys and neutrals throughout.

I currently have a 220 outlet in my living room, which was used for a window AC unit, that I need to use in another room for a dryer. Is it possible to (obviously cut the power to the outlet first) pull the outlet/wiring up through my attic, move the outlet to my laundry room (for my dryer), cut a new hole in the wall, then use the outlet. I understand that I'd have to cut the power (so as not to electricute myself) and that I'd have to be careful not to dislodge the wiring from the outlet (plug) itself, but would this really work this easily?

Thanks!

I work for a company that is trying to find a comprehensive list of engine-based industrial/agricultural/lawn-garden equipment for their website (tractors, lawn mowers, bulldozers, etc...). Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a list like that?

It's really weird, we have hot water when we turn on the faucets, but when we go to take a shower, the water is only hot for a minute or so.... I don't get how that can be. If anyone has any ideas why that is and how I can fix it, they will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I have a multitude of broadleaf weeds in my Buffalo Grass lawn - so many I would be weeding from now until I retire in 13 years! Is there a weed killer application that I can use that will not harm the grass? I live in Central Texas. Please be specific as to brand. Thank you.

I wonder if people in the US wearing any kind of shoes while taking showers. From western TV shows or movies, it is not so clear if they wear any shoes. Now, the problem is when in winter, the floor in bathroom might be icy cold, how could you move around with no shoes at all? If you do wear, what is the name of the shoes that you wear? sandals or what? Can you show me pictures? Thanks a lot!

I noticed that professional window washing engineers may wash exterior windows from floor 40 thru 50 without using hose at all (just a little water go with their stairs). I always wonder how could they do that job? No matter how clean the exterior might be, after washing 3 or 4 windows in a floor, the towel becomes quite dirty..not to mention washing all windows in 10+ floors. Could somebody dymystify this for me...thanks. I can try their techniques at home!

I live in a cul-de sac which has two entrances to it, one by road and one where cars cannot get through.(it is alot quicker to use this route, if on foot).
All the rubbish bins are situated near the close off entrance, this is because it is a lot easier for the rubbish van to pick up from, as it doesn't have to menouver through a tight spots, also because I think that they are lazy and can't be bovvered to drop the bins off in the correct place.
Because of this, everybody just uses anybody's bin(which ever one is empty and nearest.
No one recycles because no-one has got any of them blue/black/green tubs.
plus they would never get picked up.
Most of the people I have spoken to said they would like to recycle more, but because of the situation can't.
Do you think the council should do something about this?
What will happen when we get charged for our own waste?

It's upstairs. Seems to regurgitate a bit and despite regular decalcifying of toilet bowl seems to get grotty and smelly very quickly. Recently moved in and instructions not been left by previous owners.
