I installed a thermal fiberglass blanket on our hot water heater yesterday, trimming it for size and around the access panels with a box cutter. I didn't wear any goggles or face mask. It's not like I was installing insulation in a whole attic or anything, just a 48''x75'' foil-covered sheet.

1. Minor fiberglass inhalation is okay?
2. I got some fibers on my clothes, will they come out in the wash? in the lint filter? or always be there a little bit?

I have found that on most kitchen products, even dishwashing soap, aluminum foil, freezer bags, saran wrap, etc....have kosher symbols (like a circled U, or circled COR 267) on the packaging. I know these symbols represent that the product is kosher, but why on things that people don't eat? This makes no apparent sense!

My son-in-law is thinking of working for himself instead of a construction company. What would be the average cost for labor in the Ohio area? He would be doing roof repairs/flooring/painting etc.

I've seen women on tv with completely girly offices; pink filing cabinets and all kinds of office supplies in fun girly designs and I'd love to incorporate those things into my office at home and make it a more fun place to be. Hey, if I have to be in there paying bills and sorting paperwork I at least want to like looking at my surroundings!

I'm on a partial sun suburban plot of land in the southeastern U.S., actually Virginia. I know I can plant wormwood, mint, geraniums, and marigolds and use cedar chips to keep bugs away without using bug repellant. Also bug repelling candles, but we're talking PLANTS here so focus! Thank you.

I was wondering how you hook up an Air Pressure Gauge to a potato gun's combustion chamber to see how much pressure is built up in the chamber. (that way i can avoid going to high and blowing the gun up). Do i just need to buy one and then screw it into the PVC pipe or is there a certain procedure and adapter that i need to get an accurate reading. i would like to have a gauge i could hook up to a combustion potato gun (preferably) and a pneumatic gun also, so i could use it for testing purposes. i have NO experience in hooking up pressure gauges so please be as detailed as possible. thank you.

I've read this a couple of places, mainly reputable herb books. But then I finally find some St. John's Wort and look up the saint's day (mid-June) and it doesn't bleed. It doesn't even have red sap or leaves that turn red when dying. What's up with this?

A 2 gang switch in my bedroom operates the en-suite lights and and extractor fan. The light switch isn't switching off so I think I need to replace this. Anyone know if this is an easy job to do? Is it just a case of replacing the old switch with a 2 gang 2 way switch? Or do you think I should get an electrician in to do it? If so should this cost much?

When I buy new clothes and my mom ends up washing them, they come out not feeling soft as they were before. Like for example, I have a pair of $50 American Eagle jeans that used to feel soft and nice before she washed them. Could it be that she is using cheap laundry detergent? All my clothes end up like this.

But I don't want boots cluttering up the entryway (they can go in the closet) - what else could I put in there? I thought a fake plant, but that's so lame. There is no incoming sunlight. The area is roughly 3 feet square and 3 feet deep. Creative ideas, anyone????
