But I don't want boots cluttering up the entryway (they can go in the closet) - what else could I put in there? I thought a fake plant, but that's so lame. There is no incoming sunlight. The area is roughly 3 feet square and 3 feet deep. Creative ideas, anyone????

how about a large stuffed animal, laying down, on a small rug or in a wicker basket, or a nicely painted small wooden chest.
sounds interesting

A nice vase. There are so many kinds. Wood, ceramic, glass, metal, brass.

Or what I would like there in mine is an old, old pair of cowboy boots. Get from thrift store and spray them with a varnish for a little shine. Or maybe you'll see something in another cool old worn shoes that would work for your style.

Or a cool looking hat hanger or just a series of hooks and get some old hats at thrift and hang across. Maybe lay a little costume jewelry on the base. or some full lenght velvet gloves.

I've seen some terrific old belts tied in a loose knotted loop and hung over a hook. Do a belt collage.

Big, ornate bird cage, they are little out of style at the moment but sort of classic too.

Garden gazing ball on a very short stand.
