I own a substanital amount of land. Recently i found out that a great deal of it is on clay and also ledge. I want to build a home; but am a bit uncertain of different options I have. Please help........Eager Beaver........................:)

Call a couple of local landscapers and find out what they would suggest. Some give free estimates. <*)))><

Most of my state is clay, never been a problem. Whoever does your foundation shouid be able to tell you need to backfill with other soil. Not sure what ledge means?

I would check with a local home builder. Don't get your sights set on something that can not be built on that kind of foundation.

well, you eager beaver, call a land surveyor. they can tell you what safe options you have.
