Have you tried an SOS pad? Usually works for me.

In a pan put enough water to cover the bottom, put 3 tble spoons of dishwasher soap in the water, place iron in the pan and let set over night then just clean off in the morning.

I just saw this on the Today show this weekend. Take an ordinary piece of paper and sprikle salt on it. Put your iron on a dry setting and iron over the salt.
I haven't tried it myself but it worked on tv.

Get the iron hot (remember to be careful and not burn yourself, lol), the use vinegar to remove the burnt on leftovers. Be careful, as liquids transmit heat very efficiently!!

DONT use spouse and little ones cleaners ever, i take advantage of "Monster Screenclean" it works super and does a brilliant interest of repelling airborne dirt and dust. i bought it at terrific purchase , approximately $20.00 , confident slightly costly yet properly worth it for fat monitors and laptop video demonstrate instruments besides.

put some salt on white paper, put your iron on the dry setting (no steam) and iron over the salt.
