It's upstairs. Seems to regurgitate a bit and despite regular decalcifying of toilet bowl seems to get grotty and smelly very quickly. Recently moved in and instructions not been left by previous owners.

I assume you need to have an electric WC
Make sure that the electrical supply is working correctly

I assume you have microbore plumbing to the bog. Sounds like the masticator is gummed up with something and will need cleaning out. Baby wipes are a favourite for really doing a number on a masticator because they don't break up like toilet paper and just wrap themselves around the inner workings.

I have never in ly life heard of an electric toilet. What were they invented for? And why would anyone think it's a good idea to make a very watery appliance in a very watery room electric?

What you have is a macerator type toilet. These toilets can only have a run of abot 4metres of waste pipe to be efficient and as few as possible of elbows in the waste pipe,.The only suggestion I can make is to try to disconnect the wate pipe and rod it throgh. Never liked them myself.

First of all, is it plugged in, otherwise the pump won't work, and all he smellies will behind the toilet and will humding, hope you fix it, and feel FLUSHED with success, (ha ha)
