If you count fluorescent as a lightbulb, then yes. Note that there are lots of fluorescent bulbs available that can be screwed into a standard light socket. They will also save you a lot of money in energy costs, and thereby reduce global warming.

If you do not count fluorescent as a lightbulb, then no. All incandescent bulbs, including halogen and xenon, produce a lot of heat.

I use fluorescent as well. The burn cool and last a long time. While much more costly up front an even better option are the new LED household bulbs. They last even longer and put out nearly no heat at all. If heat is your big concern fluorescent or LEDs are your best bet, depending on your budget.
